Giving a lab a public home
Lijie Zheng’s Intelligent Interaction Research Laboratory needed a coherent place to introduce its work. A visitor might arrive looking for a person, a publication, a technology, or an opportunity to collaborate. I designed and developed the complete website to connect those entry points within one bilingual research-facing experience.
Identity with an information structure
My responsibility covered visual design and website implementation. I organised research direction, opportunities, technology, work, team, and publications into a navigable structure, then gave that structure a distinctive visual identity. The aim was to make the lab recognisable while keeping its people and research accessible to academic, industry, and healthcare audiences.
Engineering focus: translating research content into a complete bilingual web experience.
A delivered site, still evolving
The website went live in August 2026 and remains an ongoing optimisation project. This is my website design and development contribution to the lab; the research presented on the site belongs to the respective researchers and teams. The project gave me experience carrying a visual direction through to a functioning public website and continuing the work after launch.

Let’s take the conversation further.
Interested in the technical work, a research question, or collaborating? I’d be glad to talk.
